Yash discussed text summarization, where the goal is to… summarize text. More specifically, he discussed abstractive summarization, of which the goal is to generate novel sentences using natural language generation techniques. One such method for doing this is using pointer-generator networks. After discussing PGNs, he went on to discuss a paper describing extreme summarization to combat model hallucination for this task. The papers discussed are linked below.
